Wrote a poem for my mom.. any tweaks needed maybe?

Mom happy Birthday its hard to believe that you been alive 48 years now close to 50... but you have had a huge life .. Civil war.. 3 children.. my dads death and 18 year of being a single mom to me.. even moved to provide a better life for me.. even if I act like an ass towards you I still love you and I know you will to the end!! Sapo verde! You are my foundation off this life  and every day I wake up I feel greatful to be by your side.
